A Study on Improvement of Nursing Clinical Practice Education : Focusing on in-school practical education(fundamental nursing and health assessment)

Abstract
Purpose : This study was conducted to analyze the current state of fundamental nursing and health assessment practice education in nursing colleges in Korea to derive effective clinical practice education management plans for nursing students.

Methods : From August 19 to September 15, 2019, an online survey was conducted by 86 nursing departments of universities nationwide. Data were analyzed for frequency and percentage, mean and standard deviation using SPSS / WIN 24.0.

Results : The number of respondents among the 86 nursing colleges nationwide was 50%, and the average number of credits required for in-school training was 5.73. 95.4% of the respondents needed adjustment for 1,000 hours of clinical practice, and 51.2% of respondents said that the appropriate time was 700 and 800 hours.

Conclusion : In order to improve the quality of nursing practice education, it is necessary to adjust 1,000 hours of clinical practice time, including fundamental nursing and health assessment practice of clinical practice time, to expand the perception of simulation practice and to rest. Government or rating agency standard. As a result, we suggest a study on the diagnosis and improvement of current clinical practice education, and a practical operating system of fundamental nursing and health assessment practice courses.
